Whimsical Fairies 

Whimsical fairies are those that are “fanciful” or “imaginative and amusing” as defined in Encarta dictionary. When you think of whimsical fairies, what do you think about?  Do you use your imagination to conjure up a picture of a small girl dressed up as a fairy princess?  Perhaps you think of whimsical fairies in art in a beautiful setting flittering around from leaf to leaf.

As children, we may have dressed up in whimsical fairies costumes or perhaps had an imaginary friend that we would talk to.  We saw movies like Disney’s Cinderella with a fairy godmother that protected her and made her dreams come true or believed that the tooth fairy would bring us money when we lost a tooth.  Do you have people in your life who watch out for you?  Are they the whimsical fairies who have helped you make your dreams come true?

The whimsical fairies in our lives can be the ones who are able to see the humor in their own lives.  They are able to laugh at themselves and not take life too seriously.  These whimsical fairies share that humor with others that they meet.  Their eyes seem to laugh.
