Shamrocks Shamrocks are the unofficial symbols of the Irish. Shamrocks are the national emblem. Green is a color that represents life and shamrocks are a beautiful rich color of green. What do you think about when you hear the word “shamrocks?” Do you think of St. Patrick’s Day and leprechauns? Four leaf clovers and shamrocks are sometimes confused with good luck. A majority of people associate shamrocks as good luck but for the Irish Catholic the three leaf shamrocks represents the trinity—God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.
